I'm originally from Wisconsin, but I've called Tennessee home for over 19 years now. My love for the arts started as a real passion for photography, which eventually led to me having my own business. Wedding photography was what I did the most, but I also loved photographing wildlife and flowers. I began making greeting cards in order to get my photographs out to others. One day I saw a beautiful painting of children walking on the beach and I so wanted that painting, but it was over my budget. I had read about using computer editing to turn photos into works of art so when I got a picture of my Grands at the beach I decided I would try one of these programs and see what happens. Well, in the end, it turned out lovely! I now have my own "Kids on the Beach" work of art framed and hanging in my home. I guess you would call my work mixed media because it starts as photographs and is turned into digital art. I print these pieces on different mediums: on Gallery Wraps, on Wood, and also on Canvas or other special art papers (framed.) I still put them in Greeting Cards and make yearly calendars. Every time I work on one of my projects I see ways to expand my creativity to these pictures. I also do custom work with my clients' favorite photos. I have been in several art shows. My art appeared in the Hendersonville Star News during the Fall into Art Show. I've been married for 41 years, with 3 amazing children and 4 wonderful Grands.
