It started out cool but turned into a lovely day.  Several of us enjoyed painting the long, lovely vista into the valley from Michelle's lodge on the hill.  Many of the leaves were already down, but the view remained spectacular.  MAS artists painting were Joel Knapp, Jerry Grubbs, Kathleen Haynes, and Michelle Haynes.  Joel graciously critiqued everyone's paintings toward the end of our day.  His advice is always so valuable.

It was especially good to have Joel and Michelle out painting, as both have had recent family deaths and have commented how relaxing and freeing it is to get out and let the paint flow.

Many thanks to our host, my cousin Michelle, for having us.  What a sweetheart!
