Judith Jackson lives in rural Robertson County, Tennessee. She has studied with Gayle Levee, Roger Dale Brown, Dawn Whitelaw, Michael Shane Neal, and Lori Putnam. The majority of her works are of Tennessee's varied landscapes and waterways. She also enjoys painting urban scenes, animals, flowers, and portraits in oil. Judith paints "en plein air" in an impressionist style, but also renders in contemporary realism.
Ms. Jackson says, "I am inspired by reflected light and atmosphere. I try to capture a mood, time and place so the viewers may be able to relate to my paintings from their own experiences."
Judith's hard work is paying off with awards, commissions, and juried art exhibitions. Her paintings "Mt. Le Conte," "Clingman's Dome," "Nashville From the East," and "From Germantown" have been purchased by The Tennessee State Museum for their permanent art collection.
Jackson is a member of Nashville Artist Guild, Tennessee Art League, Art Seen, Monthaven Art Society, Plowhaus Artists' Cooperative, Simpson County Artist Guild, and the Chestnut Group plein air painters for the land.
