Heidi Kalakoc describes herself first as an artist. Then she adds the words 'designer' and 'creative soul.' She is largely self-taught through reading, mingling with other artists, and taking the occasional class. By this route she has become skilled in jewelry-making, working with clay, drawing in graphite and pastels, painting in acrylics and watercolors, and photography.
Heidi also 'dabbles' in gardening, cooking, traveling, decoupage, gourd carving, glass painting, making gift cards and learning other languages.
She practices yoga, has tried Tai Chi, and danced ballet as a youth. Her diverse talents even extend to the piano and cello. Ms. Kalakoc is degreed in Design Drafting and Business Administration, also certified in career-related fields. She is a wife, mother of three, grandmother of four, and very happy inhabitant of this earth.
