I have a passion for painting portraits and the human figure, and an equal passion for teaching those who wish to learn how to create their own art. I have been blessed to study with many great artists including such living masters as Daniel Green, Igor Babailov and a host of other great artists. I enjoy learning from the Old Masters and studying their techniques, and I will continue to be a student of art as long as I live.
Portraits are my passion and portraiture is where I have devoted most of my study. However in portrait painting you must also be able to paint backgrounds, which may include landscape and still life. Therefore, I have studied other venues as well and include these in my classes and commissioned works. I am currently teaching children and adults in my home studio in Madison and at the Hendersonville Arts Council, Monthaven Mansion.
