MAS 2011 Autumn Exhibit

Monthaven Art Society's 2011 Autumn Exhibit opened at historic Monthaven Mansion with a gracious, well-attended reception. The gallery was literally packed with guests who enjoyed 104 works of art by fifty-four artist members, in addition to live string music, and an incredible array of refreshments. Many of the artists were on hand to meet visitors, as were members of the Hendersonville Arts Council Board.
This is Monthaven Art Society's major show each year... it is non-juried and features a wide variety of media including oils, acrylics, photography, watercolor, stoneware clay, graphite, colored pencil, colored markers, and monotype prints. A number of the artworks are by new members, whom we are delighted to welcome to MAS.
Monthaven Art Society is an affiliate of Hendersonville Arts Council. It seeks to provide support and exhibit opportunities for individual artists, as well as advancing awareness and appreciation of the arts in the broader community. All works on exhibit are for sale, with a portion of the proceeds going to support MAS and HAC. Encourage your family and friends to start their holiday shopping at this lovely exhibit!
